Just say, “NO” to the Leg-press
The seated leg press fits in the same boat at the seated leg-extensions machine – avoid them and squat instead. Better yet, start off by learning how to box squat. This week I enjoyed reading Tony Gentilcore’s My Case Against the Leg Press.
Going Old-School
Too often we think that our health and fitness tips have to be new to be effective. The truth is that the core of fitness training hasn’t changed that much over time, it just gets respun. Kettlebells are awesome and seem new, but they are well over 100 years old.

Aging is a process none of us can stop, but by recognizing how our bodies change over time can help us train better and smarter. Don’t let age limit what you can, or can’t do. As we reach that milestone of Over-40 our methods for training should adapt.
