Kettlebell Workout For Fat Loss


Here is a kettlebell workout for fat loss. Don’t have a ton of time? Don’t have a ton of equipment or space? Then grab two kettlebells and give this workout a go to burn off fat and build lean muscle.

Fat Loss Kettlebell Workout

The core of this workout is built on a complex of double kettlebell movements. Each of these movements are compound movements, where the muscles of your entire posterior chain and core are engaged. By working your entire body you will be burning more calories than with isolated exercises.

The kettlebell complex used in this workout is a combination of double kettlebell swings, double kettlebell snatches, and double kettlebell squats.

The Kettlebell Workout For Fat Loss Video

Kettlebells burn fat and build lean muscle. Just check out some of the videos of RKC instructors, like Neghar Fonooni. She, like many kettlebell users, is living proof that kettlebell workouts are perfect for fat loss.

While writing this post I was thinking that I should shoot of video showing the exercises. Thankfully you get to watch Neghar demonstrate the double kettlebell complex instead of me. Check out the video:

Kettlebell Workout For Fat Loss – Sets

For this workout pick a kettlebell weight that lets you complete 5-10 repetitions of each movement within the complex. In the video Neghar completes four reps of each movement. To crank up the intensity for more fat loss by increasing the reps. Do the entire double kettlebell complex without taking any breaks.

After completing the complex rest for 3-5 minutes, the repeat the complex two more times.

Afterburner – the Turkish Get Up

After the doing three sets of the double kettelbell complex for fat loss add in the Turkish Get Up (TGU) as an afterburner. I love this movement, it is another example of a movement that works the entire body.

Here is another video of Neghar performing the TGU with a 28kg kettlebellyou go girl. She is one strong woman.

Do three sets of 5 TGUs on each side. Take a break after each set to recover.

TGU Humor – You Don’t Need No Stinkin Kettlebells

Kettlebells are a great addition to any home gym. They don’t take up much room and are awesome at building muscle and accelerating fat loss. But just because you may not have any kettlebells, yet, doesn’t mean you can’t still perform the TGUs.

Just ask for a volunteer and do the turkish get up with a person – what!?
