Want fruit, but don’t have space to pack it with you? Give these a shot .. That’s It Fruit. They are a healthy gluten free snack for on the go.
That’s It Fruit – First Bite
Here is a video of my very first bite of a That’s It Fruit Snack bar. Before shooting the video I have not unwrapped one, nor seen anyone else try on. So … first impressions are captured for your enjoyment.
There you go. Looks a bit sketchy, but what do you expect for mashed up fruit, right. The taste was good. I’m still surprised by the texture and unable to put it into words. It isn’t juicy, but it isn’t dry and leathery like most other fruit bars I’ve had. It is a dense consistency filled with fruity goodness.
What’s In a That’s It Fruit Snack Bar
Fruit and That’s It, PERIOD.
Sounds a bit outrageous doesn’t it. I kept digging around on the packaging looking for the list of other stuff, you know the crap you can’t read, or the artificial sugar that you don’t need. Well, I couldn’t find it. And for good reason, it just isn’t in there.
Here’s how they put it on their own packaging:
Ingredients: Apples, Pears. Seriously … That’s It!
The snack bars are based on three different combinations of apples, apricots, cherries, and pears. Check out the Nutrition Inside page from the maker for more detail on each fruit.
And since all it contains is fruit, check out some of the nutritional information. Just to compare I looked up the nutritional information for four different fruit-like snacks: That’s It Fruit, Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Cereal Bar, Fruit-filled, Welch’s Fruit Snacks and a Raw Apple With Skin.
Here’s how they compare:
| That’s It Fruit | Nutri-Grain Bar | Fruit Snacks | Apple With Skin | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calories | 100 | 139 | 80 | 65 |
| Total Fat | 0 | 3 | 0 | 0 |
| Cholesterol | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Sodium | 15mg | 110mg | 10mg | 1mg |
| Total Carbohydrate | 27g | 27g | 19g | 17g |
| Dietary Fiber | 3g | 1g | 0g | 3g |
| Sugars | 23g | 13g | 11g | 13g |
| Protein | 1g | 2g | 1g | 0g |
I have been told the type of sugars matter. I know the sugars in the That’s It Fruit Snack bar is all natural, but I can not say anything about the other two options. But just for fun, let’s compare the ingredients list for these four products:

Wow. So even when the nutritional information isn’t that different. Doesn’t the ingredients list make you think?
Go with REAL FOOD whenever you can. But the That’s IT Fruit Snack is a nice, portable way to have a healthy snack to take along.

Final Decision – I’ll Take a Bite!
Full transparency – I was given these to try out. There you’ve been warned that I didn’t spend my own money and may be subconsciously biased.
That said. I highly recommend the That’s It Fruit Snack Bar for a healthy gluten-free snack that you can pack with you on your next adventure outside the box. I liked it and will definitely grab another on my next outing so I can take a bite of fruit with me.
Remember it is made from fruit – That’s It!
Have you tried them? Let’s hear what you think, or if you have other options for healthy snacks while on the go.

You are welcome. I warned you that I would be honest (looks … sketchy).
They are delicious and much easier to tote around than a few pieces of fruit.

Thanks for your review! I was looking for something like this to make my diet plan more effective and this fruit bar looks great. Right now I’m following the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure program and I wonder if you have some other recommendations about more fruit bars that I can use with this diet.
Thanks
Those actually look really appetizing! Thanks for sharing!

Srdjan, I have not seen a vegetable version from them. It would make sense, …
They have apple/pear, apple/apricot, and apple/cherry.
thanks for the information
It’s good for the snack without the fat
sometime the snack make me happy then
this is the good way to choose for health and not fat..:)
I also really like Fruti fruit bars. Their frozen, though, so they wouldn’t make it up a mountain. But on a hot day they are a great snack. Fruit is the first ingredient, which isn’t true in any other frozen fruit I’ve seen.
Here’s their website: http://www.nfc-fruti.com
Frozen + Fruit = Delicious in my book. Sounds great thanks for mentioning them.
I recently made some Lemon Sorbet that turned out wonderfully. While I can’t bring it up a mountain either it was still delicious.
